The Isle of Capri Casino in Cape Girardeau will open its doors on October 30.

Casino officials originally planned to open before the end of the year, but steadily moved the opening date forward.

Chet Koch is Isle’s Vice President and General Manager of the Cape Girardeau casino. He says the mild winter and dry summer played a huge role.

“Construction teams were able to pour concrete in the winter months,”Koch said. “And throughout the summer, just really with the rain not coming really helped it along. They were able to work a lot more days than they had expected.”
