A Conversation With Poet Stephen Dunn

  Stephen Dunn is a Pulitzer Prize winning poet. He was also a collegiate basketball player with a good jump shot, an add-man for Nabisco, and by his own account, a failed novelist. He recently gave a poetry reading here at Southeast, and I got the chance to speak with Dunn in the offices of the University Press of Southeast Missouri State University.

Beef Industry Not Sold On E. Coli Vaccine

Although an E. coli vaccine has been available for five years in the U.S., very few beef feedlots use it.

Thousands of people get sick every year from E. coli bacteria in their food. While the beef industry has gone to great lengths to limit illnesses in meat, the industry has been slow to adopt an E. coli vaccine that could keep people from getting sick.

Spring Into Dance Opens At Southeast River Campus

Spring into Dance opens on Thursday, April 16 at the River Campus at Southeast Missouri State University and will continue through this Sunday, April 19. The program features performance and choreography from Southeast students and faculty, and offers a wide variety of dance styles.
