Nate Saverino

Nate Saverino serves as the Assistant Director of Athletics for External Affairs.

Saverino, who earned both a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management (2008) and a Master of Arts in Higher Education (2010) from Southeast, is responsible for all athletic marketing, promotions and ticket sale strategies. He oversees the design and production of Southeast’s printed materials, such as posters, schedule cards and camp brochures. His other duties include securing corporate sponsorships, creating content for the Houck Stadium video scoreboard, producing public address scripts for home events, assisting the Redhawks Club in event planning and promoting, assisting with the Redhawks’ social media outreach efforts and overseeing the university’s athletic trademark licensing program. He also supervises Southeast’s sports marketing student internship program.

Prior to returning to his alma mater, Saverino worked as an Athletics Marketing Assistant at the University of Tulsa. Before that, he spent two years as Southeast’s Marketing Graduate Assistant.

During his undergrad at Southeast, Saverino also served a term as a communications intern for the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. He also worked as a student assistant in Southeast’s sports information office.

Saverino resides in Cape Girardeau with his wife, Dana.

Southeast Athletics

A pair Southeast Missouri State soccer student-athletes are national champions. Senior goalkeeper Kendra Lierz and junior forward Lauren Kaempfe helped lead the Belleville, Illinois-based Fire and Ice Soccer Club to the Women’s Premier Soccer League Championship two weeks ago in San Diego.

The non-professional WPSL is the longest currently-running women’s league in the country and features more than 100 teams nationwide.

Fire & Ice capped off its perfect 12-0 season with a 2-1 victory over Gulf Coast Texans in the championship match.

Southeast Athletics

Southeast Missouri football strength and conditioning coach Ryan Napoli clearly knows what it takes to win.

Napoli joined the Redhawks staff in January after working as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at North Dakota State. During his time there, Napoli assisted the Bison football team during all five of its Division I FCS National Championship seasons.

The Alliance of Women's Coaches, in partnership with the Ohio Valley Conference, will host a regional one-day workshop next Tuesday, August 1, in Nashville, Tennessee, and the workshop will feature a distinct Redhawk flair. Among the presenters will be Southeast Missouri's Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator Cindy Gannon and Head Women's Basketball Coach Rekha Patterson.

The Redhawks Club is the official booster organization for SEMO Athletics. Proceeds generated by the Redhawks Club are used to provide athletics scholarships and program enhancements to support more than 320 Division I student-athletes.

Southeast Athletics

Former Southeast Missouri soccer student-athlete Natasha Minor has signed a professional contract with Skövde KIK in Skövde, Sweden.

Minor will journey to Sweden next Tuesday, July 18, to officially begin her pro career with her new team.

Skövde is in central-Southern Sweden.

Minor, a native of De Pere, Wisconsin, led the conference with 12 goals in 2016. She ranked first in points per game and goals per game. Minor ranked second in points, shots and shots per game. Her six conference goals also ranked tops in the league.
