Terry Wright

Host - Your Folk Connection

Terry Wright is a lifetime resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He retired in 2002 from Southwestern Bell Telephone (now AT&T) after 31 years of service. He is married to his lovely wife, Janie, and between them they have two daughters and three grandchildren. To share their love for  folk music, in 1996 Terry, Barney Hartline & Jim Hickam had an opportunity to start a radio show called Your Folk Connection. Despite the loss of Jim in 2008 the show is still going strong. Terry still enjoys the radio show performances and also stays busy performing with a group called "Barefoot On Sunday", which you can catch about the area occasionally.

Your Folk Connection

Folk music has been a part of America's heritage since the country was founded and the heartland's rich tradition in folk music mirrors that of the nation. Listeners to KRCU have been exploring folk music on the radio since September 1996 when Your Folk Connection debuted. Barney Hartline and Terry Wright are the producers of the program that takes listeners on a weekly voyage along the timeline of folk artists, performers and songwriters.
