All About Cape: March 7-13, 2017

Visit Cape

It’s hard to believe, but the River Campus is celebrating 10 years of excellence in the arts!  Take a student-led tour, stop by the pre-concert talk and attend the dedicatory concert at Bedell Performance Hall at "A Tribute to the River Campus: Past Present, and Future," all taking place today, March 7, 2017, at the historic River Campus.

Cousin Carl brings his farm show to Arena Park this Friday and Saturday, March 10 and 11, 2017. Livestock exhibits, an antique tractor pull and display, a tractor parade and food will be on hand, and little ones will enjoy the stagecoach and train rides and the pedal tractor pull, all set aside just for kids.

See new and vintage cars for sale at Smith’s Spring Classic Car Auction at the Show Me Center on March 11.

Mantiquing:  You know, antiquing, with an emphasis on the men out there, and Cape Girardeau is a great place to get started!  Cape's historic downtown is packed with unique antique shops, and several are stocked with inventory that has special appeal to men.

Several antique stores in downtown Cape Girardeau are thoughtfully stocked with antique tools and architectural salvage pieces you won’t find anywhere else.  An Antiques Roadshow appraiser has a personal booth at a downtown antique mall, stocked with rare military collectibles, and vintage motor oil cans and advertising signs are available to bring character to that man cave you’ve been outfitting.  Don’t let the construction on Main Street’s sidewalks keep you away; downtown merchants are open for business and would love to welcome you to their one-of-a-kind shops!
