The Fault Line Film Festival is an annual narrative short film competition for university and high school students throughout the Midwest, and you can see this year’s entries this Friday evening at Rose Theater.

Start making that list and checking it twice at the Christmas Bazaar with over 50 vendors featuring cotton wreaths, jewelry, hand lettering and more at the DePaul Center on Saturday, and at the Antique, Collectible and Etc Show at the VFW Hall on Sunday.

See the best Mother Nature has to offer on one of Cape Girardeau's trails, with distances, landscapes and surfaces for any ability level! If you’re looking for a paved trail, the Cape LaCroix Recreation Trail is just under 5 miles long and goes right through the middle of Cape Girardeau, and the Cape Riverfront Trail gets you up close and personal with the Mighty Mississippi, running right along the river in downtown Cape Girardeau.

The Lake Trail at Trail of Tears State Park follows the hilly shoreline of Lake Boutin, and remnants of old homesteads can be spotted through the foliage and the White Oak Trace Trail system is located in Cape County Park North, and allows you to customize your hike with different branches that all string together for a different experience every time. Both are well under 2 hours and are perfect for a quick dose of nature!
