Marilyn Kinsella will tell spooky tales around the bonfire at Bollinger Mill State Historic Sites’ Halloween Storytelling, on Friday, Ocotber 20 at 7:00 p.m..

The biggest fashion show around will fill the Osage Centre with hits from the 80s at Vintage Now 8 this Saturday evening. Vintage fashion meets today at this evening full of fun, fashion and empowering women - proceeds benefit the Safe House for Women. Country singer and songwriter Cole Swindell brings his You Should Be Here Tour to the Show Me Center on Saturday.

Hop aboard a wagon and take a ride into the orchards at Knowlan Family Farms, where you can pick apples to your heart’s content. Varieties available for picking are posted on their Facebook page, and this family-owned orchard and pumpkin patch is a great spot to get outside and enjoy Autumn at it’s best in Southeast Missouri.

Pick up a gallon of freshly pressed apple cider and some local produce in the farm store, and head 2 miles west to Bollinger Mill State Historic Site and Covered Bridge where you can picnic along the Whitewater River and walk across one of only four covered bridges left in the state of Missouri. Take a tour of the four story mill, and set off on a brief hike to the Bollinger Family Cemetery tucked on a hilltop in the forest - it’s a perfect Fall day in Cape Girardeau!
