Fall is here and there’s no better time to plan an outdoor adventure in Cape Girardeau. Find out where to camp at VisitCape.com/Stay, and get your weekend rolling with a visit to the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center Saturday morning. Inside you can see a beehive at work safely contained behind glass, and spot the Queen Bee, and outside you can enjoy the White Oak Trace Trail system that features a varied terrain.

After lunch, rent a bike from a local bike shop and explore Cape Girardeau on two wheels. The LaCroix Recreation Trail and the Cape Riverfront Trail are both paved trails that take you through Cape Girardeau and along the Mighty Mississippi. Be sure to include the ADA accessible river overlook at Trail of Tears State Park in your weekend plans, as it’s one of the very best views of the Mississippi around.Get the entire weekend in a handy print-and-go itinerary at VisitCape.com/GreatOutdoors.
