WWE Live returns to the Show Me Center this Saturday, January 6 at 7:30 p.m. with your favorite superstars, including The Shield Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and more.
It's a New Year, New You, and those resolutions can be tough to uphold when you're traveling. We've rounded up fitness options in Cape Girardeau ranging from Crossfit to yoga in to help you keep up the good work while you’re visiting our river city!
For runners and walkers, the SEMO Recreation Center has an indoor track for days when the weather isn’t cooperating, and the Osage Centre is another indoor spot to get those steps in.
If you can get outside, Cape Girardeau has outstanding fitness trails, including the paved Riverfront Trail that runs alongside the Mighty Mississippi. If you start at the Themis floodgate, run north across the bridge that connects the Riverfront Trail to Red Star Access and hop on Second Street to Big Bend then get on Main Street, you’ve got yourself an awfully scenic two mile loop that ends back at the Themis floodgate.
The well-trafficked Cape LaCroix Recreation Trail runs for over 5 miles with many handy access points through the heart of town, and the open air free weights center right off the trail at Arena Park’s tennis courts is a handy addition. Trail runners will love the rugged terrain and challenging hills at Klaus Park’s heavily wooded three mile loop. Swimmers, Crossfitters, yogis, Barre aficionados and weight lifters will find ample facilities throughout town, and a wide variety of group fitness classes boast offerings such as cardio drumming and Zumba will appeal to socially motivated exercisers. We hope these fitness resources help you stay on top of your 2017 resolutions during your stay in Cape Girardeau!
