What’s better than an event that provides you entertainment, the chance to take home some art and gives students valuable learning opportunities?
This week sees the fourth of four B-F-A graduating senior exhibitions at the River Campus art gallery. If you missed the beginning, you’ll want to take advantage of your last chance. The exhibition shows the culmination of work and studies for a student pursuing the Bachelor of Fine Arts in the Department of Art.
"This exhibit provides them with the opportunity to create and exhibit a thematically cohesive body of work. This work often serves as a portfolio used when transitioning into their professional lives or graduate education."
That was exhibitions coordinator Justin Miller. Who also tells us the show provides students the chance to learn valuable skills about exhibition installation, artwork presentation, advertising and more.
Stop by any time this week or visit with the student artists at the reception on Friday, May 12.
While you’re there, you can head over to the Crisp Museum to see what the faculty have been working on in the biennial faculty exhibition.
And while that wraps a spectacular 10th season at the River Campus … never fear … your arts and entertainment destination will be busy this summer with additional shows and activities. Plus I’ll be back next week with a sneak preview of the Conservatory of Theatre and Dance’s upcoming 2017/18 season!
For full details … show times … tickets and more head to RiverCampus.org … and I hope to see you soon at the box office.
