It's a Musical Week in the River City

Jan 22, 2018

It’s a very musical week in our river city! Get your tickets for a weekend of bluegrass. The Bootheel Bluegrass Festival is scheduled for this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Bavarian Halle with scheduled performances from the Ross Family, the Gipson’s, the Lewis Family, the Bakers, Bull Harman and Bull’s Eye, Rising Son and more. Weekend passes are available.

Put on your blue suede shoes for two shows of a "Night with the King" at Isle Casino Cape Girardeau’s Event Center this Friday, January 26, where you’ll hear all your favorite Elvis hits.

John McEuen is a founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and will perform this Saturday evening at the River Campus.

If the weather outside is frightful, look inside for family fun all year round! The most active of kids can burn off lots of energy at Safari Playland inside West Park Mall, with a 24 foot giant slide, an obstacle course and  jousting pit inflatables as well as bumper balls, a zipline and Bazooka Ball. New to Cape Girardeau this year, the Ultimate Air Trampoline Park has wall-to-wall trampolines, a foam pit, dodgeball; your kids will be wiped out after an hour at this spot. We’ll have more indoor family fun ideas for you next week.
