Left of the Dial #13 - The Upside Down

Halloween is coming right up so obviously we've got to break out the weirder tracks in the music library. Some songs are blatantly about Halloween, such as my favorite song of the holiday, The Postmarks whispery cover of the Ministry song "Every Day is Halloween." Others broadly mention ghosts, witches, or in the case of Joy Division's "Atmosphere," simply sound like a misty cemetery scene.

This show was a lot of fun to produce, without the pressure to play new music I was simply able to play music that's good. Not that there isn't a lot of amazing new music being released, it's just a nice break to know that I'm playing a lot of solid tracks. Also, b-movie samples and lot's of reverb.

Check out some songs to get you going, starting off with the brilliant mashup of the aforementioned Joy Division song "Atmosphere" as it plays alongside footage of the Teletubbies turned monochromatic. HappyHalloween!
