Left Of The Dial #269 - Pristine Tragedy

Jason Brown
/
KRCU

You know what they say, comedy is tragedy plus 6 minutes of Father John Misty singing about it.

Pure Comedy is the name of Father John Misty's forthcoming album, due out on April 7th. He's also released this short film that previews some of the other tracks to be on it.

Speaking of the intersection of music and film, Blondie's 1979 album Eat To The Beat was released as a "video album," among traditional formats, which to to say videos were shot for every track for a special release in video formats. We've clearly come a long way from this to Lemonade, but I find how forward-thinking this was to be amazing, and I know I would have personally used this as an excuse to purchase a VCR.

Left of the Dial airs Friday nights from 9-11 and Saturdays from noon-2 on KRCU.
