Left of the Dial #5 - Left of the Style

That Ryan Adams, a 40-year-old man with a sizable and well-respected discography covered the entirety of Taylor Swift's 1989 has captured a lot of people's attentions. Josh Tillman, otherwise known has Father John Misty has evidently posted and removed his own interpretation of Adams' interpretation of the work.

It's an amusing story, and very much in line with how things go in 2015, but what really surprised me was learning that '90s alternative rock band Toadies pretty much did the same thing to their own music.

We have a lot of covers on this week's show, including one from Sharon Van Etten covering Donovan's Teen Angel.

And this is a decade old, but it's truly one of my favorite things ever. It's from the comedy music duo Hard 'n Phirm (Chris Hardwick and Mike Phirmin) and it's a bluegrass melody of Radiohead songs called Rodeohead. By my count they tear through 17 Radiohead songs in 5 minutes.

This week on the show we've also got new music from Saintseneca, Ms. John Soda, CHVRCHES and more, tune in, Friday night from 9-11, and Saturday from noon to 2, on KRCU radio!
