Ten years ago, an up and coming community leader left her secure banking job to start her own business working out of the family home. Just months later, the great recession hit.
In 2007, Jennifer Hendrickson took the risk of a lifetime. When she left the bank, she expected to help businesses with marketing services, but the recession changed everything. She quickly found that businesses were simply struggling to survive in the downturn. Instead of running, Jennifer saw opportunity. She pivoted and began assisting more and more businesses with management consulting. This move proved to be the right one and her client base grew rapidly.
Soon, Hendrickson Business Advisors found a new location and began offering additional services. In Spring of 2008, they started what would become known as Faith Perceptions, a service that essentially mystery shops churches. Since its inception, they have evaluated over 8,100 worship services across the country.
2010 was a big year. Jennifer’s husband, Rhett, joined the team full time and they formed a strategic partnership with Dale Carnegie Training. They have continued to offer this training locally and throughout the country. In the same year, they opened a Murphy Business Advisors branch for business brokerage in southeast Missouri.
In 2015, Jennifer and team moved to a much larger, beautiful facility on Clark Street. And while they’ve continued to grow and have had many successes, I can assure you, they’ve only just begun.
We will cut a ribbon celebrating 10 incredible years at their Clark facility at three p.m. this Thursday, August 3. We will also celebrate the opening of Barrel 131 in Jackson at 4:00 p.m. the same day,
