Lives Hang In Legal Limbo, Even As The DACA Deadline Dissipates

There were a lot of questions when the Trump administration announced it would end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which provides protected immigration status for people who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children.

Six months later, there still aren’t a lot of answers.

The deadline that was initially imposed from the White House for Congress to act on DACA is upon us, but lawmakers have failed to come up with a deal for the hundreds of thousands of DACA recipients affected by this unique immigration policy. And, a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision has effectively — and perhaps indefinitely — delayed the deadline.

We open the phones to help clear up the confusion on DACA, hear your thoughts and stories about how the program has had an impact on you, and review the history of how we ended up in a moment where so many lives hang in legal limbo.

Join the live conversation with a call to 855-236-1A1A (1212) on March 5th at 10am ET – or leave us a voicemail anytime.
