A Preview of 2017 River Campus Summer Arts Festival

What do you get when you mix one day of free arts activities with three great comedies?  The River Campus Summer Arts Festival!

Mark your calendars now for June 17 to experience the Fourth Annual River Campus Summer Arts Festival. This all day event promises something for everyone. Rhonda Weller-Stilson is the director and associate dean of the Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts.

"The festival represents our commitment to the community, showcases the work of professional artists from our region, and gives people an opportunity to see what occurs at the River Campus. We are excited to reach out to a diverse population and kids of all ages. "

Activities include live music, dance, and theatrical performances, a magician, visual arts displays, hands-on family-friendly art activities, museum exhibitions, musical instruments and animal petting zoos, creative writing workshops, an art walk, and other hands-on activities throughout the river campus.

"We also have three really great comedies as part of our summer season. The hit musical the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; Greater Tuna, a play about small town southern life and Dear Edwina Jr., a musical including a cast of 10-15 year olds."

You can enjoy the summer arts festival for free on saturday, june 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tickets for any of the comedies can be purchased on rivercampus.org or at the box office. I hope to see you there.
