Search Continues For Lynn Messer

Find Lynn Messer Facebook page.

Search crews continue to look for a Ste. Genevieve County woman who disappeared more than a month ago.

Lynn Messer disappeared from her home on July 8.

Detective Austin Clark with the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s office is heading the investigation.

“We’re not ruling out anything,” Clark said. “We’re investigating it from all angles, but at this point there’s no foul play.”

Clark said hundreds of volunteers have helped comb the area for the missing woman over the last month.

Lynn Messer’s family is coordinating the search effort. So far, they have searched over 13 thousand acres. They have a "Find Lynn Messer" Facebook page to help coordinate search efforts.

“They come out to the carriage house to have briefings. They have a big map inside of their barn that shows what’s been searched and what’s not,” Clark said. “They cross off what’s been searched and then they’ll go out and do line searches through fields and wooded areas.”

The sheriff’s office has a tip hotline at (573)-883-5820, extension 27463.
