If you’re going to study something you hope to do for the rest of your life, you want to learn from the best. And, that’s just what students at Southeast’s Holland School of Visual & Performing Arts do.
Accreditation means an academic program meets national standards and credentials. It may not be top of mind for prospective students researching colleges, but it will once that student is seeking post-grad education and job opportunities. Southeast’s dance program just became one of only two institutions in Missouri to earn NASD accreditation and coordinator of the dance program, Hilary Peterson says that means something.
This places our program on a national stage and signifies a standard of excellence in dance training at Southeast. NASD accreditation places our program amongst other top-tier dance programs in the United States and demonstrates the University’s commitment to offering quality dance training and education. This accreditation provides Southeast’s dance program the opportunity for continued growth in the quality of course work, technical training and performance programming required of pre-professional dancers.
