Reservations are open for the Southeast Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Dinner. The dinner and ceremony will be held Friday, Feb. 3 at the Show Me Center.
The event will recognize four former student-athletes, two long-time boosters, and one former head coach for their contributions to the history of Southeast Missouri State Athletics.
This year’s Hall of Fame Class, which was announced in November, will include:
•Lea Beckemeyer Nenninger, a two-time All-Ohio Valley Conference performer who led the 2000 Southeast Missouri volleyball team to the OVC Tournament title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
•Dr. John and Judy Holcomb, Friends of the Redhawks, who were longtime boosters of Southeast Athletics, including a generous gift that paved the way for major renovations to the weight room in the newly-named Holcomb Success Center.
•Heather Jenkins, a 13-time OVC champion thrower on the track & field team from 2002 to 2006.
•Jim Klocke, a three-time All-American catcher on the Redhawk baseball team from 2007 to 2010.
•Eddie Moss, the SEMO football team’s leading rusher in 1970 and 1971 who went on to play six seasons in the NFL with the St. Louis Football Cardinals and the Washington Redskins.
•And finally, former head men’s basketball coach Ron Shumate, who is the winningest basketball coach in Southeast Missouri State University men's basketball history.
