Two-Minute Drill: Soccer Student-Athletes Compete Internationally

Former Southeast Missouri soccer student-athlete Natasha Minor has signed a professional contract with Skövde KIK in Skövde, Sweden.

Minor will journey to Sweden next Tuesday, July 18, to officially begin her pro career with her new team.

Skövde is in central-Southern Sweden.

Minor, a native of De Pere, Wisconsin, led the conference with 12 goals in 2016. She ranked first in points per game and goals per game. Minor ranked second in points, shots and shots per game. Her six conference goals also ranked tops in the league.

In her four-year career, Minor rewrote a number of Southeast's top-five season and career lists. In the season finale, she broke the career shots attempted record with 187. She finished her career ranking second in points, goals, and shots on goal.

She earned First Team All-OVC honors as a senior in 2016. She earned First Team honors in 2014 and Second Team and Newcomer honors as a freshman in 2013.

Meanwhile, sophomore student-athlete Jasmine Hilliard has been selected to the Puerto Rico U-20 National Team, which will compete at the Caribbean Football Union preliminary qualifying tournament for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Hilliard has been training this week with the team in Puerto Rico, and well travel next week to the Dominican Republic to compete in the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship Caribbean Zone qualification.
