Southeast Missouri State University

The Southeast Missouri gymnastics team has completed its schedule for the 2017 season. SEMO will compete in 12 total meets, four of which will be held at Houck Field House.

Southeast will host the defending Midwest Independent Conference champions, Lindenwood, on Friday, January 20 in the SEMO Classic. On February 17, the Redhawks will host Centenary in the annual Pink Up Meet to help raise breast cancer awareness. SEMO rounds out  its home slate the first weekend of March when it hosts Texas Woman's and Rutgers on Friday, March 3, followed by Air Force on Sunday, March 5.

Southeast Missouri State University

Twenty Redhawk student-athletes received their degrees from Southeast Missouri State University during Fall Commencement on Saturday, December 17, at the Show Me Center.

There were a total of 781 students -- 632 undergraduates and 149 graduate students -- who received their degrees at the fall commencement proceedings. Dr. Willie Redmond, SEMO professor of economics and faculty associate in the Office of the Provost, delivered the address.

The Southeast Missouri Department of Athletics announced its 2016 Hall of Fame class, which includes four student-athletes, two long-time supporters, and the program’s all-time winningest men’s basketball coach.

Lea (Beckemeyer) Nenninger was a two-time All-Ohio Valley Conference performer for the Southeast Missouri volleyball team from 1998-2000. Beckemeyer led Southeast's 2000 volleyball team to the OVC Tournament title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.


Southeast Missouri's women's cross country team made program history at the NCAA Midwest Regionals on Friday, November 11, with a 16th place team finish. Megan Parks and Sydney O'Brien are the first duo since 1998 to finish in the top 50 at Regionals.

SEMO finished in 16th place out of 33 total teams competing, missing a top-15 finish by a mere 20 points. The team made program history, finishing with the highest team average of 21:49.

Southeast Missouri State University / KRCU

Eleven Redhawk student-athletes took home All-Ohio Valley Conference honors at the completion of their Fall seasons.

Football was represented with five All-OVC selections. Linebacker Chad Meredith, punter Alex Knight, and kick returner Cameron Sanders each earn First Team All-OVC honors. Running back Will Young was a second-team selection, and quarterback Jesse Hosket garnered all-newcomer accolades.
