Focus on Southeast (August 2018)

Focus on Southeast is a monthly program on issues and events impacting the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. It is a collaboration of KRCU Public Radio and the Department of Mass Media at Southeast Missouri State University.

On this edition of the program, Dr. Vargas talks about institutional and academic restructuring, including the new college structure and leadership that went into effect on August 1, 2018; the re-accreditation of the entire university, also called regional accreditation and it's impact on the how Southeast operates plus the importance of soft skills and the challenges of communicating the importance of soft skills to college students.
