Focus on Southeast (Dec. 2016)

Focus on Southeast is a monthly program on issues and events impacting the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. It is a collaboration of KRCU Public Radio and the Department of Mass Media at Southeast Missouri State University.

SEGMENT 1
In this segment of this show, Dr. Vargas discusses how the university is prepared for attacks on campus with the recent news of an attack on the Ohio State University campus in late November 2016. There was also discussion on the budget in the state of Missouri and what 2017's budget for Higher Education may look like.

SEGMENT 2
In this segment there is a discussion about Dr. Vargas' trip to Cuba in 2016, the baseball team's success in the OVC and the new Greek Village.

SEGMENT 3
In this segment, a look back at 2016 continues with talk about the EDvolution Center and construction of the new Center for Speech and Hearing.
