Focus on Southeast (May 2017)

Focus on Southeast is a monthly program on issues and events impacting the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. It is a collaboration of KRCU Public Radio and the Department of Mass Media at Southeast Missouri State University.

SEGMENT 1
In this segment of the show, Dr. Vargas discusses the latest on the budget and about a recent increase in tuition which takes effect in Fall 2017. He also discusses how the Board of Regents do their work at the university.

SEGMENT 2
In this segment, Dr. Vargas responds to a report by the Southeast Arrow related to sexual assaults on campus and he also talks about the new Center for Speech and Hearing.

SEGMENT 3
In this segment of the program, Dr. Vargas talks about Doug Greene, who received an honorary doctorate at the Spring 2017 commencement.
