Nate Saverino
Host, Two-Minute DrillNate Saverino serves as the Senior Associate Director of Athletics for External Affairs.
Saverino, who earned both a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management (2008) and a Master of Arts in Higher Education (2010) from Southeast, is responsible for all athletic marketing, promotions and ticket sale strategies. He oversees the design and production of Southeast’s printed materials, such as posters, schedule cards and camp brochures. His other duties include securing corporate sponsorships, creating content for the Houck Stadium video scoreboard, producing public address scripts for home events, assisting the Redhawks Club in event planning and promoting, assisting with the Redhawks’ social media outreach efforts and overseeing the university’s athletic trademark licensing program. He also supervises Southeast’s sports marketing student internship program.
Prior to returning to his alma mater, Saverino worked as an Athletics Marketing Assistant at the University of Tulsa. Before that, he spent two years as Southeast’s Marketing Graduate Assistant.
During his undergrad at Southeast, Saverino also served a term as a communications intern for the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. He also worked as a student assistant in Southeast’s sports information office.
Saverino resides in Cape Girardeau with his wife, Dana.

Southeast Missouri Gymnastics set three new program records last week as the Redhawks finished with a team score 197.050, surpassing the previous record of 196.175 set last season (1/27/23). The Redhawks also registered new program records on the Vault (49.200) and Bars (49.350).

The 2024 Southeast Missouri Gymnastics season will commence on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, in Columbia, Mo. as a part of the Mizzou Invitational hosted by Missouri. The meet will feature the host, MIC-member Lindenwood, and Northern Illinois of the Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC). Competition will begin at 6 p.m. at the Hearnes Center.

A total of 24 student-athletes received their degrees from Southeast Missouri State University during the Fall Commencement ceremony at the Show-Me Center last Saturday. These Redhawks were also recognized at a pre-graduation ceremony.
