Cairo Police Continue Search For Missing Woman

Authorities in Cairo have been searching for a missing woman for the last week.

It started when 55-year-old Sandra Farris, did not come back from her regular walk around St. Mary’s park last Thursday.

Her sister, Donna Pearman, filed a missing persons report that evening and stayed up that whole night waiting for word.

The following day, The Cairo Fire Department led a twenty person search team to look for Farris. The team looked along the Mississippi River levee as well as through vacant houses in Cairo. They found no signs of Farris.

Cairo Police Chief Bernard Brown declined to comment on Farris’ disappearance because his office’s investigation is on going.

Anyone with information regarding Farris’ whereabouts are asked to contact the Cairo Police Department at (618)-734-2131.
