Looking for laughs this summer? The River Campus has two great comedies currently on stage.
Hi. I’m Ellen Farrow coming to you “From the Box Office” to share what’s on stage … what’s happening behind the scenes … and all the latest River Campus activities.
Today we catch up with actors Kyle Van Pool and Bart Williams who play the entire population of Tuna, Texas in the comedy "Greater Tuna."
"'Greater Tuna' is a story that is told by two guys about the third smallest town in Texas by the name of Tuna. There are twenty characters that are played by Bart and I." - Kyle "A lot of the humor is trying to figure out who we are from one moment to the next." - Bart "And it's such a fast-paced show. You, I mean like, we're in as somebody then we're out and we're back as somebody else and it goes back and forth and I think that's the challenge is just to make sure that you know, you're coming in as the character that you're supposed to be coming in and that that character doesn't sound like another character." - Kyle
"Greater Tuna" runs through June 25. Tickets are also on sale now for the "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," a riotous and comedic musical revolving around six smart kids competing in a championship spelling bee. You can catch the "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" through June 28.
