A Preview of the 2018 Summer Arts Festival

Southeast Missouri State University

The River Campus Summer Arts Festival is a must each June for an entire day of family-friendly, free entertainment. All things arts take over the grounds at the River Campus with music, hands-on activities, dance and acting. In addition to the day long event, the Holland School of Visual & Performing Arts presents three performances for limited Engagements in June. Director Rhonda Weller-Stilson has the details.

"We are so excited to announce this year's line up for the River Campus Summer Arts Festival. Opening on June 14 we're going to have the hit musical "Little Shop of Horrors" and that will be in the Rust Flexible Theatre. The following evening on June 15 we will open the comedy based on Alfred Hitchcock's "The 39 Steps" also in the Rust Flexible Theatre. And then we will also open that evening "Legally Blonde Junior" on the Bedell Stage and that show will be a cast of children from ages 10 to 15. The following day we'll have our big Saturday arts festival from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and I would love to stress that this is free and open to all ages. We'll have everything from live performances in dance, music and theater to hands-on art activities."

Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 16. You can already reserve your tickets now for Legally Blonde Jr., Little Shop of Horrors and The 39 Steps at RiverCampus.org. I hope to see you soon at the Box Office!
